Hello, I recently purchased the Kraken 7.1 v2 Mercury (since my 7.1 chroma broke xD) and I was hoping to learn about the optimal configurations for its audio and microphone.

Change to the Techno setting on the equalizer.

Razer Surround Best Settings

If you’re having trouble hearing certain sounds, try increasing the volume of the sound by 25%.

Maximize your presence by turning on voice clarity and increasing it to 100%.

Turn it up to eleven if you’re a basshead, but keep it at fifty percent if you play games where spatial awareness is key.

Put the mic volume at half (it’s a very loud mic), the mic’s active noise canceling on, and the mic’s ambient noise reduction on full.

In both equalized and unpeaked video situations, with these settings, my friends have been complimenting my excellent mic quality. I’ve also noticed that in first-person shooter games, I hear more sounds and can pinpoint their location much faster than the average player.

Unless you’re having a conversation with someone, I wouldn’t recommend using Voice Clarity and Sound Normalization.

Razer Kraken Tournament Edition EQ Settings

In Synapse, I would suggest turning off ALL enhancements except for Bass Boost (if you like it) and using the following EQ settings:

5, -1, -7, 0, -1, 1, 6, 4

This should be the optimal configuration for achieving a flat frequency response in the KRaken 7.1 V2 when playing back an audio file of brown/red noise.

Carry on with this thought

Since Windows has a habit of establishing subpar bitrates for the headset and microphone channels by default, you should first maximize their quality by right-clicking the sound icon in the lower right corner of the Windows Taskbar and selecting “Sounds.”

You can then, for instance, right-click the headset’s channel within Playback. Select the highest sample rate offered (it ought to be around 48000Hz, 2 channels) by going to its properties > Advanced.

Change the same settings in Recording for the microphone.

Synapse users should also use the following EQ settings, and turn off ALL enhancements (except Bass Boost, if desired):

5, -1, -7, 0, -1, 1, 6, 4

To get the KRaken 7.1 V2 as close as possible to a flat-frequency response when playing back a brown/red noise audio file, these should be the best settings to use.

I get the impression that you’re out to silence everyone. This is the most inconsiderate setting I’ve ever used, and it’s by far the worst I’ve tried.

What is volume normalization razer?

Slashing all aroundA volume normalizer is built into the sound system and makes sure that all of your media is playing at the same volume. The ability to adjust the volume while watching videos or playing games is a great addition.

What is Sound Normalization razer?

If you only have two front speakers or a stereo headset, you can still get the immersive experience of 7.1 surround sound with the help of Razer Surround Sound. Razer, known for their gaming peripherals, created it. Windows 7, 8, and Vista (both 32-bit and 64-bit versions) are all supported.

Razer headset equalizer

The surround sound on your Razer can be set up in a number of different ways. First, there’s an equalizer that lets you turn up or down the volume of specific frequencies. The second part is the settings menu, where you can activate features like virtual cinema, headphone surround, and a few others. The third option is the “standard” configuration and will deliver the full range of sound without any amplification. The clarity of the sounds you hear is controlled by the fourth option, positional audio.

To begin using the Razer surround sound software, you must first configure it for use with your headphones. Speakers included with the program can be used in place of a Razer headset if you don’t already have one.

After connecting your headset and launching Razer Surround Sound, select the “Settings” button from the menu located in the upper right corner of the interface. A number of audio configuration choices are available here.

If you go to the settings menu and click on device, you’ll be given the choice of which audio output device will be used. The normalizer comes next and modifies the audio by filtering it. The equalizer can then be used to fine-tune the sound at various frequencies. The next step is to select a mode, at which point you’ll have the option of using headphones, entering a virtual theater, or something else entirely. You’ll have more say over the sound you’re hearing after you access the next set of advanced options. The language option is the final available choice.

Then, when you’re finished making changes, click the “Save” button in the lower right. Simply click the “Restore Defaults” button if you ever need to revert to the factory settings.

Razer mic equalizer

Razer also provides a microphone equalizer. As a result, you can modify the microphone’s sensitivity to various frequencies. This works wonderfully if you want to focus on a specific sound or cut down on background noise.

Razer surround sound must be launched before the microphone equalizer can be adjusted. To access this feature, select Razer from the list of installed programs, and then select “surround sound” from the menu that appears. After starting the program, select the gear icon at the top right.

After that, scroll all the way to the bottom and activate the “Advanced” setting. Now you can select Microphone EQ by checking the box that appears below the panel’s three choices. The text “This setting is only available when Advanced mode is turned on” will appear next to it.

The microphone equalizer settings are located in the Equalizer section, accessible via the Mic button. In this window, you’ll find a number of sliders that control the microphone’s sensitivity to various frequencies.

When you’re finished making changes, select the save button in the lower right corner to permanently store your preferences. All it takes to return to the factory settings is a click of the “restore default” button.

Razer kraken 7.1 eq settings

To get the most out of your Razer Kraken 7.1 headset’s audio capabilities, play around with the equalizer settings. Select the Kraken 7.1 device in the settings menu as your first order of business.

Then, go to the equalizer’s tab and click the music preset. It’s a good place to begin setting up your headphones. The equalizer controls are located at the bottom of this page, in case you feel like shaking things up a bit.

After fine-tuning the equalizer settings, you can switch to the modes tab on the main tab. When you turn it on, you can choose between several different settings. You can try out the various available modes until you find the one that works best for you.

Last but not least, adjust the spatial audio settings under the “Advanced” menu. The volume and direction of the sounds coming from your computer can be adjusted in this way.

Razer kraken bass settings

In addition to the standard surround sound experience, Razer gives you access to a variety of equalizer modes such as bass boost, flat, and others. To use one of these, simply navigate to the equalizer section of the settings and select the desired preset.

Changing the slider under low frequency adjustment in the Razer kraken headset’s advanced settings is how you can modify the bass. The volume of bass coming out of your headphones can be adjusted in this manner.

You can save your current preferences by clicking the corresponding button in the window’s lower right corner.
